Five markets, not one
The Central Coast trades as five separate rental and sales markets, and the county line is not where they divide — Nipomo, Santa Maria and Lompoc behave as one market across it. An owner in Paso and an owner in Cayucos are in completely different businesses — different tenants, different seasons, different rules. Here's how we think about it.
Rents: Estimate — scaled from Rentometer’s June 2026 county averages ($3,058 house, $2,519 apartment). There is no public per-town rent source for this county. We would rather show you an honest estimate labelled as one than a confident number we can’t stand behind.
